As the world observed the 57th International Literacy Day on September 8, 2023, Engage Now Africa (ENA), a non-governmental organization dedicated to improving the living conditions of the underprivileged in Africa, called on the Ghanaian government and education stakeholders to prioritize efforts to boost literacy levels in the country.
Cecilia Amankwah, who delivered a keynote address on behalf of ENA during a significant event in Kadjebi, Oti Region, emphasized the importance of stronger state-led initiatives to enhance literacy in Ghana.
The event marked International Literacy Day and was held under the theme, "Promoting Literacy for a World in Transition: Building the Foundation for Sustainable and Peaceful Societies."
Engage Now Africa collaborated with the Complementary Education Agency to celebrate International Literacy Day 2023 at Kadjebi Asato Secondary School in the Oti region.
