Renowned rapper and music producer, Elorm Adabla, popularly known as E.L, has revealed that his previous statement about working as a delivery man in the United States was nothing more than a bid for attention.
In an interview with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz, E.L admitted that his narrative of working as a food delivery person in the US was a fabricated story designed to create buzz and garner attention—something that indeed achieved positive results for him.
A few months ago, E.L had shared in an interview on 3Music TV that there was a period in his life when he had to work as a delivery guy in the US to make ends meet. He even emphasized how this experience had taught him the value of humility.
However, in his recent interview, E.L clarified, "Andy, let me be very honest with you, my brother, that whole thing was just an agenda we were pursuing. I never actually did that job. Sometimes, in the spur of the moment, you can get carried away."
E.L. explained that while he had considered pursuing such a venture, he had never actually worked as a delivery person in the US.
The rapper went on to apologize for the publicity stunt, acknowledging that it was driven by a desire for attention and influenced by people around him. He admitted that upon his return to Ghana, he wanted to create something that would trend, and the fabricated story certainly achieved that.
Meanwhile, E.L. is currently on a media tour promoting his latest EP titled 'The Teacher.' This EP marks a significant release for E.L., his first since 'Bar 6' in 2021, and it reflects his commitment to releasing more music, as promised when he re-emerged in April 2023.
E.L. also teased a live show at the Zen Gardens in Labone to celebrate the release of his long-awaited EP. As the release date approaches, fans can anticipate a body of work that showcases E.L.'s musical evolution and storytelling abilities, with the EP poised to leave a mark as a standout release in 2023, featuring tracks like "Chop Life" and "Soba" alongside exciting collaborations.
